Hey my sweets, and welcome to my February Style Diary! I’ve been so excited to post this, as my January Style Diary got such a great response! I’m really looking forward to carrying on this series. How is it March already? This year is flying by already, but I can’t say I’m unhappy about it, because the sooner we leave this freezing cold weather behind the better if you ask me! I’ve been fairly uninspired by Winter clothes this year. I’ve found a few outfits that I totally love, like January’s style diary outfit and todays, but in general there hasn’t been very much in stores that have grabbed me, and combined with having to wear black tights with everything and layer up, Winter is definitely my least favourite fashion season. I’m so happy all the SS16 is coming out! However, like I said there have been a few Winter outfits that I’ve loved wearing and have continued to allow me to stay true to my style despite the season, and the outfit I’ve chosen for my February style diary definitely deserves credit for that!

I’ll start with the top. To say I’m obsessed with the Victoriana trend would be an understatement. I remember when I first started seeing the style here and there in high street stores, I think around the end of Summer, and I was SO happy and excited. Finally, a trend I could latch on to that I already really loved and was SO my style. And I’ve pretty much lived in Victoriana tops this season, as they are still pale and pretty and super feminine, but also have that really Wintery feel. My most worn top this month has been this one from Topshop. I love how beautifully detailed this top is, and yet it remains the perfect level of understated. Ultra feminine and classy,  and perfectly on trend, this completely fits the criteria to be one of my wardrobe staples- the perfect combination of ‘Cute and Classy’. It looks so sleek and chic with black skin jeans and boots, and really cute and girly with high waisted skirts. I LOVE VICTORIANA TOPS.

Next in the ensemble I have this gorgeous Warehouse suedette skater skirt. Another trend I really enjoyed last year and have continued to love in 2016. I love how suede/suedette has filtered into pretty much everything- skirts, dresses, tops, coats, AND all different styles, so you can carry on wearing whatever it is you would usually wear, but it transforms and becomes super current when you inject an ‘on-trend’ fabric. I’d been seeing a lot of suedette body con skirts, which I have liked and embraced, but what I really like is a skater skirt. So when I saw this beauty in Warehouse I knew I had to have it, and I’ve worn it to death this month. It is so incredibly wearable, and the gorgeous versatile taupey-grey colour goes with absolutely everything. Smart-casual and neutral, but with a nod to the seasons current fashion, it’s the perfect skirt. Plus it has two pockets which is amazing, and fits so well.

Now I’m so excited to show you the new love of my life- my Kurt Geiger Saffiano London Tote bag. I’ve been using this as my every day bag since I got it at the beginning of the month, and I’ve been absolutely loving it. It is the most beautiful neutral taupe colour, that honestly changes colour depending on the light and what colours you are wearing. I adore the structured style, and the pretty gold hardware with the buckle details. It is the ultimate ‘city girl’ bag, and looks amazing with every outfit I’ve worn it with. Cute and classy… check! I’m so fussy when it comes to bags, but I am totally in love with this one.

Barely leaving my feet this month, are my absolutely beautiful Hudson ankle boots. These are utterly timeless. I love the all over sleek black suede and the subtle flared heel. They fit in really nice and tight on the ankle and so look so incredible with black tights. They are the epitome of sophistication and add such a subtle but stylish flare to any outfit. So understated and yet unique- a classic boot that will never go out of style. Absolutely love these.

On my lips this month has been Charlotte Tilbury’s K.I.S.S.I.N.G lipstick in Nude Kate. It has such a perfect consistency- super creamy but really long wearing- matte but not TOO matte. It never dries my lips out and sometimes I forget I even have it on, which is a great sign, as my lips get really dry and most lipsticks I end up just wiping off. I love this colour aswell- it’s a really sophisticated nude that goes with everything. And CT packaging is to die for, so it’s always a favourite to whip out of my bag.
My perfume of choice this month has been YSL’s Black Opium Nuit Blanche– which just launched this month but I previewed back in November and completely fell in love. How can I explain this fragrance to you!? Well to begin with it is totally unique- I have quite literally never smelt anything like it. “NUIT BLANCHE translates to ‘White Night’, a night in Paris once a year when rock chicks take control and make the city their playground until dawn.” A beautiful white coffee frangrance, it has this magic combination of floral and musky, and sweet but incredibly sexy. I get so many compliments when wearing it, and it’s probably become one of my all time favourites.

I hope you enjoyed this months style diary! As always you can shop the post by clicking on the little pictures below. Let me know if you bought anything or have seen anything you think I’d love in the comments section 🙂
