The blush has very subtle pigmentation, leaving you space to build up the colour as you wish. I’ve said this before, but I much prefer a buildable blush rather than a highly pigmented one, as it leaves you more room for mistakes and you won’t ever have to start your whole face again because you took too much product on your brush and look like you’ve been hit round the cheek! The blush is a beautiful creamy, bendable formula, and actually contain ‘finely crushed pearls’ to really capture the light and give you a really gorgeous, luminous looking complexion. There are six shades in the collection- all depicting the various kinds of ‘flushes’ romance may bring to your cheeks- First Love, Love Glow, Love is the Drug, Sex on Fire, The Climax and Ecstasy. I love the concept, very sexy but I opted to be tame and go for First Love. It is the best kind after all.
The eyeshadow quad is the type of product that makes a makeup lover’s heart skip a beat- and to be honest, so are all of CT’s products, but there’s something about a palette that just gives me emoji heart eyes, even though I don’t usually wear eyeshadow. I chose ‘The Uptown Girl’ palette. Now many of my blogger friends and ladies I love to watch and read online opt for the Dolce Vita palette, which is agree is gorgeous, but I was too attracted to the two champagne shades which are my favourite shades to use on my eyelids. The champagne shades, one golden toned and one pink, are perfect for brightening and opening up the eyes and are versatile day to evening looks. Then there are the two smoky grey shades perfect for taking you from ‘Desk to Dusk to Disco’ as Charlotte describes. The shades are a perfect combination of natural wearable and glamorous, and I can’t wait to try them out.
The Charlotte Tilbury K.I.S.S.I.N.G lipsticks really are the lipsticks of dreams. The formula is absolute perfection. They include a secret ingredient from what she calls ‘The Lipstick Tree’ that is packed with anti-oxidants that protect and nourish the lips. Not only do they feel dreamy to apply, and keep your lips moisturised and hydrated, it stays put for a good while and the colours are to die for. This time, I went for the shade ‘Nude Kate’, which at first I was worried I wouldn’t like as it’s quite a neutral brown toned nude, and I was worried it would be too flesh coloured, but after applying it I felt ashamed of myself for doubting CT’s taste! It is a beautiful sophisticated nude, and although it is very neutral and has no hint of pink or peach etc, it is far from ‘foundation lips’ which is what I was worried about. It really is a gorgeous, every day nude, and if I do feel like it needs a bit more colour, it just takes a tiny bit of lipliner and it blends perfectly.
I’m so happy with everything I chose. Charlotte Tilbury never ever disappoints me. There’s something so special about luxury products like these, and these really are up there with the best of the best. I just love not only the super high quality of the products, but just the brand itself. CT just has the perfect taste- you’ll be hard pressed to find a lipstick or eyeshadow shade that you’d turn your nose up at. I used the Cheek to Chic blusher and also the Mini Miracle Eye Wand (pictured above) in my Valentines Get Read With Me video- I will post the video below if you’d like to see these products in action…
I hope you enjoyed this little haul and review! I try a LOT of makeup and beauty products that don’t always make it to my Youtube channel, purely because I only upload once a week and there isn’t enough time or space to always include everything, so I will try and write posts like this more often just to let you know about the few things I’ve bought or have been really enjoying using. Let me know if there’s anything you’d love me to try and review. As always, you can shop the post below if I’ve convinced you that any of the above are a must have 😉
Lots of love,
